PETE EVANS - Company Director

 

During my 23 Years serving in the Royal Air Force I delivered Apprenticeships to over 400 Catering recruits as well as spearheading a Government initiative to research, develop and incorporate Apprenticeships to Ministry of Defence Civil Servants for the last 10 years of my RAF career I was Area Manager of London and Kent of the Recruitment Outreach Team working with Schools, Colleges, Universities and Youth organisations delivering activities to over 200 schools in London and around the South East of England. In my final years I worked as a lead recruiter in London and the largest Careers Office in the UK, and successfully mentored and coached over 800 applicants through the rigorous Royal Air Force application process.

 

On leaving the Air Force in 2014 I established Skill Horizons and I've never looked back .....

Meet Some of the Team

Marirosa Lavarone

Outdoor learning tutor/facilitator, very passionate about nature and children. I have been a Montessori teacher for 9 years in a Pre-school where I qualified as a Forest School Leader Level 3 and started delivering regular Forest School activities in 2012. When the school closed, a few years later, I decided to become a freelance and since then I delivered various outdoor learning activities to different groups of children and adults, from private events to schools and corporate, for different organizations including a Montessori school in Italy. I am insured for Public Liability, DBS checked. Outdoor First Aid, Child Protection and Level 2 Outdoor Food Safety trained.

 

Faith Ainsley and Malta

 

Level 3 Forest School Freelance Leader, delivers outdoor learning.

 

Faith runs the SHout Inspire Youth Club in Dover, enabling children to experience the outdoors who wouldn't naturally have the opportunity to. Faith also leads the outdoor curriculum based element at Cheriton Primary School, the school wanted to enrich the classroom learning by taking it outside, they have made nettle tea, soil and earthworm studies, tree id through the seasons and much more.

Dan Purchase

Sport development, coaching and fitness level 3. Worked within local primary schools delivering activity. Specialising in primary schools outdoor/indoors activities. Summer of 2017 attended a summer coaching camp in Boston USA . Qualified Outdoor First Aid, Archery Coach, Safeguard.
