The HAF Programme is funded for children and young people aged 4-16 years, who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. All children and young people are welcome to attend (although there may be a cost for those not eligible for a HAF Programme funded place).

HAF Programme Goals for Children

Eat more healthily over the school holidays
Be more active during the school holidays
Take part in engaging and enriching activities which support the development of resilience, character and wellbeing along with their wider educational attainment
Be safe and not to be socially isolated
Have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition
Be more engaged with school and other local services.

HAF Programme Goals for Families

Develop families’ understanding of nutrition and food budgeting
Families are signposted towards other information and support, for example, health, employment and education.

 

What HAF offers

Holiday activities and food programme running throughout Kent, for children of primary school age. The programme is for children in receipt of FREE SCHOOL MEALS ONLY. 
This programme offers eligible children enriching, fun and educational activities, alongside a healthy meal every day. There is no charge for this programme. For more information from relevant agencies, click on link below
 

Winter Programme 2021

This winter we are offering four days of activities and events for children eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals, called the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF), funded by the Department for Education (DoE).

 

Using grant funding we are also able offer a Holiday Activities Programme (HAP) (formerly COMF) open to all children and young people in the District

 

Please note 1 activity voucher secured your child’s place all week. Delivery times:

 

Monday 20 - Wednesday 22 December

9am - 1pm (on site you book onto)

 

Thursday 23 December

10am - 2pm Party day in Dover Centre

Deal Parochial Church Of England Primary School

Focus will be on craft, team building games, and activities such as soft archery, fire lighting with outside agencies coming to delivery bespoke activities 

Dover Green Park Community School

Leading on from our successful Summer at Green Park, we will be having an "Elf"tastic, Christmas themed week
